VHTl1CTr, ..Accepting Proposal from Ames & Nelson,.Inc - Construction Inspection Services Bye oft � Of My WBa*wr: OBDBRED, MT the attached proposal from Ames & Nelson, Inc. dated July 18, 1977 for construction inspection services for the Second Phase of the Judson Heights Subdivision be and hereby is accepted,, and be it further ORDERED, that the City Engineer be authorized to engage the services of Ames & Nelson, Inc. to conduct construction inspection on the subject pro act, and on the proposed Glenwood Subdivision, in accordance wiR the terms of said Proposal, for as much time as is considered necessary to insure that proper standards of construction are being met, and that the work complies with'the terms of the Contract Plans. and Speci- fications, and be it further ORDERED, that the cost of said services be charged against the existing accounts for the two projects. STATEMENT OF FACT: A shortage of personnel in the Engineering Department due to illness and retirement, and a heavy existing schedule of construction necessitates that additional personnel be engaged to cover construction inspection. The firm of Ames & Nelson, Inc, is recommended since they did the original design of the Subdivisions, and are most familiar with the proposed work. A budget Of $2,000 per month would be a reasonable approximation of anticipated charges.
