THAT Chapter VII, Article 4; Section 5 of the Ordinance of the City
of Bangor be amended by addition as follows:
5.1.1. :'(Reserved) ..
5.1.3• High Street Historic District. An area generally bounded on

and on the west by Union Street and centered on High Street;
said area being more particularly described on a plan
entitled "Historic Districts - High Street Historic District

5.1.4. Hanger Theological Seminary District. An area generally
bounded on the east by

by Pond Street; amid area being described more particularly
on a plan entitled "Historic Districts - Bangor Theological

A Public Hearing on these proposed designations was held by the
Historic Preseovation Comm n June 1, 1977. Each of the abev
items was the subject of questions and full discussion. - No opposition
was voiced to their denigration under the Historic Preservation Ordinance.
These designations were previously approved in correspondence by Hoyle G.
Shettleworth, Jr.,. Director of the Maine Historic Preservation Commission.
