WHEREAS, at present, there is a mix of since and two family dwellings in the area, WHEREAS, the city has a dedicated intention to create new residential units where reasonable and feasible; BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BANGOR AS FOLLOWS, THAT Chapter 165 of the Code of the City of Bangor District Map is amended as follows: The property addressed at 21 East Street is hereby rezoned from Urban Residence 1 to Urban Residence 2. The Planning Board considered this item in a noticed public hearing on May 18, 2021. The meeting was conducted using the city's Zoom account. The applicants, Greg and Darlene Kenny, reviewed the application. They are looking to place another dwelling unit in the existing building. The Board noted that the area contained many other 2 family dwelling units and also recognized the city's goals of placing additional dwelling units where it makes sense. The Board passed a motion, by roll call, made by Member Shaw and Seconded by Member Perkins, to recommend to the City Council that the said zoning district change ought to pass.
