Also in attendance were City Manager Cathy Conlow, Assistant City Manager Courtney O’Donnell, Assistant City Solicitor Josh Saucier, Airport Director Tony Caruso and Marketing and Business Development Manager Aimee Thibodeau. Agenda and Discussion: 1. Lease Amendment – Nate Holyoke Builders Airport Director Tony Caruso asked for Committee approval of an Order authorizing the City Manager to execute a second lease amendment with Nate Holyoke Builders, Inc. As a capital improvement, both the airport and the tenant have agreed to epoxy the hangar floor and cost share this investment. This improvement will help protect and extend the useful life of the hangar floor. The estimated total cost for this improvement shall not exceed $6,000 with the City's share not to exceed $3,000. Nate Holyoke will receive a credit towards the rental of the hangar. The current lease is in year 2 of a 5 year term, that includes a 5 year extension. All of the terms within the current lease will remain in full force and effect. Motion made, seconded and approved by unanimous roll call vote. The Lease Amendment will be presented to the City Council for final approval. 2. Airport Advertising & Marketing and Statistics March passenger counts were down 25% from 2020 levels, but they are trending in the right direction. Last year at this time, passenger numbers were down 40% from the prior year. Airlines that were hit hardest last year were those with direct flights to NY. DOD fuel sales had a substantial year-over- year increase. Total fuel sales were about 5% below last year. The new FBO website is ready to launch: fbo.flybangor.com. The Facebook posts that garnered the most interest were the ones announcing the airline’s new destinations. We did 3 LinkedIn posts in April. We are still assessing the best way to optimize our presence on this social media platform. In recent days, there has been a clear shift in the questions we are receiving through our website inquiry form. Instead of asking about quarantine guidelines, they are asking about hotels, rental cars, etc. What’s open versus what’s closed. Meeting Adjourned
