Street Sewer Extension

ORDERED, -
TMT the attached report of the City Engineer showing the
actual cost and recommended assea"aments for the extension of the
sanitary sewer on Union Street in a southeasterly direction for
a distance of 620 feet be and hereby is accepted, and be it
further
ORDERED, that since prefunding in the amount of $39500.00
was received from the Midas Realty Corporation for the newer
exothnsion, and since the actual Developers' share of the final
cost isonly$2,330.61,
NOW THEREFORE, be',it
ORDERED, that the sum of $1,16939 be refunded to the
Midas Realty Corporation.

To the Municipal Officers
Reference is made to City Council Order No. 337 AR passed
August 81 1977, authorizing the extension of the sanitary sewer
on Union Street. All work has been completed, and the following
report is submitted:
The sewer installation consisted of 620 feet of 8 inch pipe
and 2 manholes, extending in a southeasterly direction from the
existing terminus of the sewer near the Penobscot Savings Drive -
In Bank to a point near the new Midas Muffler building, presently
under construction. The actual cost of the sewer installation
was $9,322.42, substantially below the estimate of $14,210.00.
Of this amount, the City would pay 50%, with $4,661.21 assessed
against the properties benefited, as follows:

Total $4,661.21
The total actual assessment against the Been property,
Lots 2 through 5, would be $2,330.61{ however, the Developers
were required to prefund their originally estimated share,
which amounted to $3,500.001 and which was paid by the bides
Realty Corporation as part of ea agreement with the Beans.,
Consequently, a refund in the amount of $1,169.39 should he
made to Midas Realty Corporation.
A plan showing the as -built location of the sewer is on
file in the office of the City Engineer.
