Iq / "led by COmcilman RECEIVED CITY OF R=cMR CITY CLERICS OFFICE 177 DEC 8 " 1 58 CITY OF BANGOR, MAINE Engineering Department December 6, 1977 To the Municipal Officers Reference is made to City Council Order No. 390 AN passed October 13, 1976, authorizing the extension of the sanitary sewer on Newey Street. An work has been completed, described as follows: The installation consisted of 140 feet of 8 inch pipe and 1. manhole. The actual cost of the installation was $1,507.05, which compares favorably to the original estimate of $19800.00. The City share is 50%, or $753.53, with the remaining amount assessed proportionately against the properties benefited, as follows: Name and Address Frontage Assessment Mr. Royce Day.' 19 Newey Street 60 feet $347.78 Alton G. Murchison 99 Randolph Drive 70 feet 405.74 Total $75352 It is recommended that the assessment against the Murchison property be levied; however, it is recommended that the assessment against the Day property be deferred at the option of Mr. Dayj to be levied at such time as entry into the sewer is requested, at an increase of 50%, to $521.67, provided a suitable Subordinate Agreement is obtained Prom Mr. Day. The recommendation to defer his assessment was approved by the original Council Order No. 390 AD. Plans showing the sewer installation are on file in the office of the City Engineer.
