As/ameneen ed, Passed1 .M CITY CL®iR I CITY OF BANGOR, MAINE Engineering Department To the Municipal Officers: December 2, 1977 Reference is made to City Council Order No. 258 AN passed June 14, 1976, authorizing the extension of the sanitary sewer on Kenduskeag Avenue in a northerly direction from its terminus at the intersection of Valley Avenue. The work has been completed, consisting of the following: The extension consisted of the installation of 1,003 feet of 8 inch asbestos cement pipe and 4 manholes. The total cost of the sewer installationwas $21,536.10, which compares favor- ably with the original estimate of $25,000.00. Of this amount, the City would pay 50%, and the remaining $10,768.05`would be assessed against the property benefited, as follows: . Also, it was originally recommended that the assessments against the West side of Kenduskeag Avenue, now the Ridgewood Subdivision, be deferred, since most of the land is much lower than the street, and sewer entry will not be possible unless the land is substantially filled; furthermore, the lower portion of these lots have access to the Kenduskeag Stream Interceptor Sewer.
