I have discussed the project with the staff of the City departments and respectfully request that the Council consider the following actions which will benefit The Bangor House and the City: 1. The reconstruction of the sidewalks surrounding The Bangor House; they are in various stages of disrepair; it would be our intention to landscape along Main and Union Streets and coordinate with the citk Cs work; 2. The widening of the sidewalk on May Street, which is now one way, to enable landscaping and to make the sidewalk comparable inwidth to Main and Union Streets; 3. Provide a drop-off and bus stop lane at the main 9ntenlrance on Main Street; 4. Grant two curb cuts on Gallagher Place to provide access to the parking under the building. I believe the request to be reasonable and in the best interests of the City. We are prepared to discuss this with you and the staff at your convenience. We appreciate very much to interest and cooperation and .thank you for your consideration., Yos very truly, H. L ohn L. Allen JLA/mud Moebn "mon John L. Allen
