HYW City Casnmil dW IXgafBammer "T LFW, THAT, the City of Bangor acquire by Eminent Domain pursuant to its duly adopted Community Development Program, property owned by Malka Singal and Liza Berg and designated as Parcel 15-5, located at 169 -,Hancock Street, Bangor, Maine and described as follows: A certain lot or parcel of land, together with the buildings thereon situate insaid BANGOR, and bounded and described as follows, viz: Beginning on the south side of Hancock Street at the northeasterly corner of land formerly of Francis McManus; thence running southerly on the 'easterly line of said McManus land 80 feet and 8 inches more or less to land now or formerly owned by P. Wall; thence easterly and parallel to the line of Hancock Street 50 feet; thence northerly on the westerly line of land now or formerly belonging to Edward Dowd to Hancock Street thence westerly on the line of said Hancock Street 50 feet to the place of beginning. BENT FURTHER RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Bangor that, in accordance with independent appraisal of value of the above described property, the amoutn of damages determined tobedust cam- pensation7for the acquisition of the fee simple interest in the above described property is $23,000.00. STATEIMUT OF FACT: 30 M.R.S.A §4854 authorized municipalities to acquire by eminent domain, property in designated slum or blighted areas. In order to exercise this power, the City Council moat first adopt a "Resolution of Condemnation" to be served upon the property owner(s). After service is completed the Resolution is resubmitted - to the City Council for its approval or disapproval.
