Being apart of the same premises conveyed to Harry Cohen by Mollie E. Ramenkovitz by warranty deed dated July 26, 1943 and recorded in the Penobscot Registry.of Deeds in Volume 1106, Page 222. Be it further resolved by the City Council of the City of Bangor that, n accordance with independent appraisals of value of the above described property, the amount of damages determined to be just compensation for the acquisition of the fee simple interest in the above-described prop- erty is $35,000.00. STATEMENT OF PACT: 30 M.R.S.A, j 4854 authorizes municipalities to acquire by eminent domain property, or an interest therein, in designated slum or blighted areas. In order to exercise this power, the City Council must first adopt a "Resolution of Condemnation" to be served upon the property owner(s). After service is completed, the Resolution is resubmitted to the City Council for its approval or disapproval after a public hearing.
