ORDERED,
THAT WB:REAS, the City Council of the City of Bangor approved and adopted
a C®unity Development Prmgran - Property Rehabilitation Grant Program on April 11,
1977; and
WHEREAS, the purpose of the Property Rehabilitation Grant Program is
to provide financial assistance t0 law -income homeowners in community darelopmeat
project areas for repairs for their properties required by the Housing, Building,
Electrical, Flirting and Fire Prevention Codes of the City of Bangor and to other-
wise bring the residences into a generally good and readily maintainable condition;
and
WIERF.hS, the Depar sent of Housing aW Urban Development has defined
lov- add moderate-ineome families as those families whose incomes do not exceed 80%
of the median family income of an , and
WHEREAS, the Department of Housing and Urban Development publishes
from time to time applicable income Limits for lower-income housing resistance under
Section 8 of the United States Housing Act of 1937:
NOW, TH HEKRE, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAIKdR BE IT
ORDERED, THAT Section C, paragraph 3 a of the Community Development Program - Property
Rehabilitation Grant Program be amended to read:
The applicant's become (see Sectioa 4), to include the
ncome of the applicant and his family who share the same
dwelling unit, shall cut exceed of the median family
ineome of Penobscot County as in the moat recant
publication by the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban
Development establishing Income limits in Pembscot County
for lower-income housing assistance nxxder Section 8 of the
U. S. Hoaaing Act of 1937.
