Grant„Application_- renobsc t Interceptor hewer Extension BYW Qty CouuH of tM Cf OfBanove. 978013 Wt1� THAT WBKRKAS, the City of Bangor, after thorough considera- tion of the nature of its water pollution problem, hereby deter- mines that the construction of certain works required for the treatment of municipal sewage, generally described as the extension of the Penobscot Interceptor Sewer and the Penjajawoc Stream Interceptor Sewer, is desirable and in the public interest, and to that and it is necessary to apply for Federal Assistance; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDERED: 1. That the City Manager be and hereby is authorized on behalf of the Municipal Officers of the City of Bangor to file an application in the form prescribed by the Administrator and in conformity with 33 U. S. C. 1281-1292 amg EPA's grant regula- tions (40 CFR Parts 30 and 35) for a grant to be made by the Administrator of EPA for 75 percentum of the eligible cost of construction of the publicly owned treatment works; 2. That if such grant be made the City of Bangor agrees to pay, pursuant to 33 U. S. C. 1284(x)(4), the non -Federal costa of such works; 3• That the City Manager is hereby authorized to furnish such information and to take .such other action as may be necessary to enable the City of Bangor to qualify for the grant; 4. That the City Man&ger is hereby designated as the author- ized representative of the City of Bangor for the purpose of furnishing to the Administrator such information, data, and documents pertaining to the application for a grant as may be required; and otherwise to act as the authorized representative - of the City of Bangor in connection with this application; 5• That certified copies of this Order be included as part y - oY the application to be submitted to the Administrator for a grant; 6. That if such grant be made, the City of Bangor agrees to -make provision satisfactory to the Administrator for assuring proper and efficient operation and maintenance of the treatment 'works after completion of the construction thereof.
