Bangor determined that the Curve Street Neighborhood Conservation Project area is a blighted area as defined in 30 M.R.S.A. Sections 4851 - 4854 and is hereby designated as such; and - WHEREAS, it has been found that there are certain properties located in the Curve Street Area Neighborhood Conservation Project which present a blighting influence on the area and are detrimental and a menace to the safety, health, morals and general welfare of the occupants and owners thereof and the citizens of Bangor at large; and WHEREAS, by approval of Council Order 350 AG, on August 28, 1978, the City Council authorized the submission of an application for Community Development Small Cities funds which provides for the acquisi- tion and clearance of scattered dilapidated structures in the Curve Street Area Neighborhood Conservation Project; and WHEREAS, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development n October 20, 1978 approved funding of the City's application for Com- munity Development Small Cities funds and subsequently executed a Grant Contract with the City allowing it to undertake activities specified in the application: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDERED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BANGOR THAT the Director of Planning and Community Development is hereby authorized to proceed with the acquisition and clearance of the following properties located in the Curve Street Area Neighborhood Con- servation Project: 1. 8-30 Blake Place (City Assessor Sheet 40, Lot 28), being more particularly described in Penobscot Registry of Deeds Vol. 2431, Page 156. 2. 9 Blake Place (City Assessor Sheet 40, Lot 35), being more particularly described in Penobscot Registry of Deeds Vol. 2871, Page 163. 2 3. 11 Blake Place (City Assessor Sheet 40, Lot 37), being more particularly described in Penobscot Registry of Deeds Vol. 2871, Page 163. 4. 16 South Perk Street (City Assessor Sheet 39, Lot 173), being more particularly described in Penobscot Registry of Deeds Vol. 2617, Page 156. 5: 20 South Park Street (City Assessor Sheet 39, Lot 174), being more particularly described in Penobscot Registry of Deeds Vol. 2363, Page 268. 6. 73 Jefferson Street (City Assessor Sheet 39, Lot 182), being more particularly described in Penobscot Registry of Deeds Vol. 1656, Page 334.. 7. 63 Market Street (City Assessor Sheet 39, Lot 193), - being more particularly described in Penobscot Registry of Deeds Vol. 1852, Page 353. 8. 64 Market Street (City Assessor Sheet 40, Lot 38), being more particularly described in Penobscot Registry of.
