Authorizing the City Manager to Execute a Memorandum of Understanding with Health Equity Alliance to
receive up to $2,000 from the State of Maine Overdose Response Pilot Grant to engage in the planning,
creation, and co-facilitation of trainings related to the project.
This Order would authorize the City Manager to execute a Memorandum of Understanding on behalf
of the City of Bangor with Health Equity Alliance (HEAL). HEAL will receive up to $2,000 from the
State of Maine funded Overdose Response Pilot grant to engage in planning, creation, and
co-facilitation of trainings related to the project. Staff from the Public Health & Community Services
Department will provide technical assistance, support, and monitoring.
This MOU will begin on May 1, 2021 and end on December 31, 2021.

The City Manager is authorized to execute a Memorandum of Understanding with Health Equity Alliance
(HEAL) under which the City will provide funding of up to $2,000 from the State of Maine funded Overdose
Response Pilot grant to assist HEAL with development of trainings related to the grant.
