By es aft Cwmeil offs City Of B* : ORDERED, THAT WHEREAS, the Maine State Planning Office has indicated that there are funds available for the City of Bangor in the next fiscal year order the Coastal Zone. Management Program, and that there are two projects proposed for funding: 1) Implementation of the joint marina facility plan including the contracting of assistance in the areae of grantsmanship and securing necessary approvals and licenses for the project (with cost sharing with the Town of Hampden). 2) Study of the Penobscot River frontagge to evaluate alternative uses and re -use f6asabihjies"no include recreation potentials and public access in con- junction on junction with an area wide study to include two or three other municipalities in the area on a proportional cost contribution basis. NOW THEREFORE,BE IT ORDERED,THAT the City Manager be and is hereby authorizedto file the necessary applications with the Maine State Planning Office on behalf of the City, a copy of each application being on file in the City Clerk's Office. STATEMENT OF FACT: Bangor's tentative formula allocation under this program is $9,500. If a joint project with three other communities is undertaken, there is the potential for a 25% bonus,goperating an additional $2,375. for the City's benefit.
