The above described street has been laid out sixty (60) feet wide, measuring thirty (30) feet on either side, and at right angles to the above described centerline. Being the same right-of-way as shown on a Plan entitled "Glenwood, in Bangor, Penobscot County, Maine, for Eenduskeag Associates, Brewer, Maine", prepared by Andrew J. Sh3rka, dated July 22, 1976, on file in the Penobscot Registry of Deeds. GRADE And the City Engineer proceeded to lay out a grade for said Glenwood Drive, as follows: Beginning at the southeasterly end of said Glenwood Drive, at the northeasterly edge of the travel way of Eenduskeag Avenue at Elevation 98.80, Bangor City Datum; thence following the above described centerline, ascending on a grade of 1.06 per cent for a distance of 235.00 feet to Elevation 101.29; thence continuing to ascend along a concave vertical curve having a length of 100.00 feet and an external of 0.32 feet to Elevation 103.63; thence ascending along the tangent to said curve on a -2- grade of 3.63 per cent for a distance of 150.00 feet to Elevation 109.07; thence along a convex vertical curve having a length of 200.00 feet and an external of 1.56 feet to Elevation 110.10; thence along a concave vertical curve which is tangent to the previous curve, said curve having a length of 200.00 feet and an external of 0.90 feet, to Elevation 108.90; thence ascending on a grade of 1.00 per cent for a distance of 450.00 feet to Elevation 113.00; thence descending on a convex curve having a length of 300.00 feet and an external of 2.18 feet to Elevation 107.30; thence descending on a grade of 4.80 per cent for a distance of 50.00 feet to Elevation 104.90; thence along a concave vertical curve having a length of 100.00 feet and an external of 0.27 feet to Elevation 101.01; thence continuing to descend on a grade of 2.98 per cent for a distance of 225.00 feet to the northeasterly adga of the travel way of Kenduskeag Avenue at Elevation 94.30. All Elevations refer to Bangor City Datum. There appeared at the time and place set for the meeting Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Girismen, who now reside on Glenwood Drive. They inquired as to when sidewalks would be installed, and were advised that it would not be until such time as the neighborhood bad built up sufficiently to warrant their instal- lation and maintenance. Mr. Girismen complained that the street lacked sufficient lighting, and he was assured by the City Engineer that this would be examined for the possible installation of additional lights. Glenwood Drive was constructed by the City of Bangor under agreement with Kenduakeag Associates, who have been assessed for the private share of the street construction. Ro other assess- ments are recommended as a result of the street construction. It is recommended that the above described street be estab- lished as a public way, to be named and known as Glenwood Drive. Respectfully submitted, J Frawley, City Engineer -3-
