Title, Resolve
Accepting and Appropriating a $68,358 Grant Award from the Maine Department of Environmental Protection
for Culvert Replacement on Grandview Avenue
This Resolve will accept and appropriate a grant from the Maine Department of Environmental
Protection (DEP) for the replacement of a culvert on Grandview Avenue within the Arctic Brook
watershed. The grant application was previously by the City Council.
The City's application was approved in the full amount requested and does require a 100% local
match, in the amount of $68,358.33, which was appropriated as part of the approved FY 2022
Stormwater Budget.
This grant will allow for the replacement of a 54" corrugated metal culvert, believed to be 50 years
old, that has deteriorated badly, with a section that is appropriately sized and located for the area it
serves.
