HomeMy WebLinkAbout2021-04-12 21-152 Resolve 04/12/202121-152 04/12/2021 21-152 Airport Resolve 001-001 Title, Resolve Ratifying and Authorizing the Application for and Acceptance of a Grant in the Amount of $69,641 from the FAA under the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act for Bangor International Airport (BGR). This Resolve will ratify and authorize the application for and acceptance of a grant in the amount of $69,641 from the FAA under the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act (CRRSA) for the airport. If approved, CRRSA funds will be used to provide relief from rent and minimum annual guarantee (MAG) obligations to eligible airport concessions. These concessions include the car rental agencies, food & beverage concession, gift shop concession, the terminal advertising concession, the parking concession and the hotel concession. The airport shall provide this relief funding to each eligible concession on a proportional share of the total amount of rent and MAG of all eligible airport concessions. Given the requirement to sign and accept this grant application by March 18, 2021, this Resolve will ratify the City Manager's execution. Be it Resolved by the City Council of the City of Bangor that, The City's application for and acceptance of the grant from the FAA in the amount of $69,641 under the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act (CRRSA) for the airport, is hereby ratified and authorized. This includes, but is not limited to, the ratification and authorization of the filing of the application, including all understandings and assurances contained therein, and the directing and authorizing of the City Manager to act in connection with the application and to provide such additional information as may be required. Given the requirement to sign and accept this grant application by March 18, 2021, this Resolve will ratify the City Manager's execution.
