Z® MMM WHEREAS, several persons owning property at the end of Parkview Avenue have requested that, it be extended; and WHEREAS, the Council has hereby determined that an extension of said street is in the beat interests of the traveling public, Now, rREREFORE, By the City Council of the City of Bangor: ORDERED, THAT the City Engineer, acting for and on behalf of the Municipal Officers according to law, be and is hereby directed to lay out by metes and bounds and establish a right- of-way for the extension of Parkview Avenue, said extension to constitute an extension of the existing 48 foot wide right-of- way, and being further described as follows: Beginning at a point on the easterly right-of-way line of Parkview Avenue, 920.00 feet north from the northerly right-of- way line of Mount Hope Avenue, being at the northerly terminus of said Parkview Avenue as laid out and sees ted on September 10, 1907, said laying out described in Road Book Volume 3, Page 384, on file in the Office of the City Engineer; thence north on an extension of the existing easterly right-of-way line for a distance of 56.00 feet to a point; thence in a westerly direction at right angles to the last described line for a distance of 48.00 feet to a point on the westerly right-of-way line of said Parkview Avenue extended; thence in a southerly direction along said westerly right -'of -way line extended for a distance of 56.00 feet to the northwesterly terminus of the existing right-of-way; thence in an easterly directionat right angles to the last described line for a distance of 48.00 feet to the point of beginning. Meaning and intending to describe an extension of the existing Parkview Avenue right-of-way for a distance of 56 feet northerly from its present terminus. -1- and be it further CRIBBED, TART the City Engineer proceed to give notice of the intent of the Municipal Officers according to law by posting such notices for seven (9) days in two (2) public places In the City of Bangor in the vicinity of the proposed right -o£ -way extension; and be it further ORDERED, TART the City Engineer shall make a written return of said proceedings containing the bounds and measure- ments of said right-of-way extension and the damages allowed to any person or persons as a result of said laying out, all in accordance with the laws of the State of Maine; and be it further ORDERED, TEAT the City Solicitor is hereby authorlAd and directed to obtain from all persons whose property is affected by this action a quitclaim deed conveying any and all interest of said persons in said right-of-way. -2- 113 AH Introduced by Councilor nc%ernan, February 25, 1980 _ CITY OF BANGOR (TITLE.)
