HomeMy WebLinkAbout2021-03-22 21-130 Resolve 04/12/202121-130 04/12/2021 21-130 Health & Community Services Resolve N/A Title, Resolve Accepting and Appropriating $194,700 of Grant Amendment Funds for the Overdose Prevention and Naloxone Distribution Program. This Resolve will allow for an amendment to an existing grant, increasing the funds by $194,700 in FY21. On July 13, 2020 resolve 20-203 was passed to accept and appropriate grant funds in the amount of $212,500 to the Overdose Prevention and Naloxone Distribution Program from the State of Maine. These additional funds will be provided by the state of Maine. All of the additional funds will be directed to the purchase of naloxone which will be distributed in the program's five-county naloxone distribution area of Penobscot, Piscataquis, Washington, Aroostook, and Hancock counties. The Public Health and Community Services Department has been a recipient of the overdose prevention portion of this grant since 2008; the contract was expanded in 2020 to include naloxone purchase and distribution.
