HomeMy WebLinkAbout2016-08-08 16-290 Council Documents (17) • Typical patient scenario Patient calls for a screening Patient is set up with an intake which takes from an 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Patient is set up with a physical with the doctor which typically takes 1/2hour. Patient attends a 1 hour Orientation group the same day or in the first week. For the next 30 days patient meets with a counselor 15 minutes a day during the week to discuss response to treatment, current needs, referrals for additional services, and assess ability to manage required counseling. During the next 60 days patients are to attend another 4 required groups including HIV / Aids, Disease Concept and Relapse Prevention in addition to 1 hour of individual time with their counselor. • During the next 90 days patient are to attend two hours of counseling per month group or individual. From that point forward Penobscot Metro requires a minimum of 1 hour of counseling per month which is more than state regs mandate. •
