Subject: Vote NO to more methadone patients
Importance: High
Dear City Councilors,
Tonight I believe you have a final meeting to decide whether or not to allow Penobscot County Metro to
accommodate 200 more patients. Thepurpose of myemail is to urgeyou to sayNO to this expansion.
g Pa
While I have sympathy for the folks who need assistance with their addictions I implore you to direct them to
their own communities for help instead of to Bangor. We cannot allow our great city to become the single place
to come when seeking help for addition. The people need to reach out to their own communities for help.
As a single familyhomeowner in Bangor it saddens me to see that when I am relaxing on my own front porch, I
g
see people stumbling down my street at early hours in the morning and coming up to my front steps begging for
money or asking to use my bathroom. Is this what our city is coming to? What is the incentive for the hard
working people in the community that want to live and work in a safe and prosperous community? Stand UP
for us please and say NO!
Please say NO to this expansion.
Thank you for your time.

Subject: Council NO Vote
Councilors, today is an important day for Bangor, for you will,as your Oath of Office demands, have
the opportunity of deciding how the community of Bangor will progress in the future. You will have the opportunity
to support the people of Bangor by not allowing any further expansion of the Methadone Clinic industry. You can
support the people who are citizens of Bangor and who do not want any further expansion.
Councilors,we will care for our citizens who need care while supporting the movement of care to home communities
for those who need it there.
We support your NO vote. We are there with you! Vote NO on expansion! The people demand it!

Subject:A NO VOTE FOR METHADONE IN BANGOR
I am vigorously opposed to any expansion of methadone services in Bangor. The citizens of Bangor have
helped enough. People needing such services should receive it in the area of their residence. Dr. Monica M.
