HomeMy WebLinkAbout2021-03-08 21-113 Resolve 03/08/202121-113 03/08/2021 21-113 Airport Resolve 001-001 Title, Resolve Appropriating Unused Passenger Facility Charges (PFC's) in the Amount of $971,423 to be Applied Towards the Replacement of (3) Passenger Boarding Bridges Project at Bangor International Airport (BGR). This Resolve will authorize the appropriation of unused PFC's in the amount of $971,423 to be applied to the replacement of (3) passenger boarding bridges (PBB's) project at the airport. The airport previously received FAA approval to apply for four separate PFC applications and four amendments dating back to 1995, all of which have been completed and closed. The airport currently has a balance of $971,423 (collections and interest) in its PFC account. This project consists of planning, data collection, design, inspection, testing, project management, all labor, materials, equipment, services and incidentals in connection with furnishing and installing passenger boarding bridges at Gates 4, 5, and 6. These PBB's are over 30 years old and are obsolete. The total project cost is estimated at $5,449,075. The FAA has approved the airport's use of these unused PFC's for this purpose. WHEREAS, the City of Bangor, Maine is the owner of an airport located in Bangor, County of Penobscot, State of Maine, commonly known as Bangor International Airport; and WHEREAS, the airport desires to appropriate unused PFC's in the amount of $971,423 to be applied to the replacement of (3) passenger boarding bridges project at the airport; and WHEREAS, this project consists of planning, data collection, design, inspection, testing, project management, all labor, materials, equipment, services and incidentals in connection with furnishing and installing passenger boarding bridges at Gates 4, 5, and 6; and WHEREAS, the FAA has approved the airport's use of these unused PFC's for this purpose. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BANGOR, THAT That $971,423 in unused PFC's are hereby appropriated for use at the airport to be applied to the replacement of (3) passenger boarding bridges project.
