This Order authorizes the City Manager to accept and appropriate $35,000 from the Federal Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration. Fiscal year 2021 is the fifth year of a five-year grant, focused on reducing lead poisoning in the city of Bangor. Whereas; the City of Bangor currently receives grant funding from the Maine CDC, supporting the Lead Poisoning Prevention Program, and Whereas; these funds would be the fifth year of a five year grant program supporting the Lead Poisoning Prevention Program, and Whereas; this program is focused on reducing lead poisoning in the City of Bangor. Be it Resolved by the City Council of the City of Bangor that, the City Manager is authorized to accept and appropriate $35,000 in Funding from the Maine CDC for Lead Poisoning Prevention.
