HomeMy WebLinkAbout2020-12-14 21-041 Order 12/14/202021-041 12/14/2020 21-041 Community Connector Order N/A Title, Order Authorizing the City Manager to Execute a Collective Bargaining Agreement between the City of Bangor and the Amalgamated Transit Union (ATU), Local 714 Representing Bus Drivers at the Community Connector This Order will execute a Collective Bargaining Agreement between the City of Bangor and the Amalgamated Transit Union (ATU), Local 714, representing Bus Drivers at the Community Connector. Negotiations between the City and the Union have resulted in a Tentative Agreement which has been ratified by the Union. The agreement has been negotiated within the bargaining guidelines established by the City Council. If approved, the term of the contract is three years with a reopener on wages for years two and three of the Agreement. The Agreement also includes a 2% cost of living increase to wages in year one. The Tentative Agreement was reviewed with the City Council in Executive Session on December 14, 2020. Council Workshop 12/14/2020 Recommend for passage Consent 12/14/202021-041 CITY OF BANGOR ORDER 12/14/2020 21-041 Sprague Authorizing the City Manager to Execute a Collective Bargaining Agreement between the City of Bangor and the Amalgamated Transit Union (ATU), Local 714 Representing Bus Drivers at the Community Connector Be it Ordered by the City Council of the City of Bangor that, the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute a Collective Bargaining Agreement between the City of Bangor and the Amalgamated Transit Union (ATU) Local 714 representing the Bus Drivers at the Community Connector Public Transit Division for a term commencing on July 1, 2020 and ending June 30, 2022 in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Tentative Agreement reached between the Negotiating Committees representing the City and the Union.
