Bids/Purchasing a. Self-Propelled Vacuum Lavatory Truck – Airport – TLD-America - $135,820 Motion made and seconded to recommend purchase to City Council, motion passed unanimously. b. Update on Small and Large Electricity Supply Contracts Staff reviewed the existing Order designating Maine Power Options as the City’s electricity aggregator as well as the benefits to date. Staff requested the ability to extend the contracts for a one year period. Staff indicated a desire to undertake a comprehensive review of the City’s energy contracts and methodology in the coming year. Councilors indicated a desire to ensure the plan includes future facility enhancements, bill consolidation and peak shaving opportunities. Motion made and seconded to authorize the one-year contracts, motion passed unanimously. 2. Taxpayer Request Waive Developer Agreement Requirement – 57 Division Street Staff provided an overview of the actions taken to date regarding this property. In general terms, there is a matured tax lien on the property and the Committee has voted that in order for a sale to proceed a developer agreement will need to be part of the sale to ensure the property is returned to an appropriate state. The current owner had a buyer back out of the sale due to this requirement and was seeking a waiver of the requirement. Since that discussion with staff last week, an additional buyer has come forward and is willing to accept this term. Therefore, there is no action necessary for this item. 3. Executive Session – 36 MRSA Section 841(2) – Hardship Abatements (A) & (B) Motion made and seconded to enter executive session. 4. Open Session – Hardship Abatement Decisions (A) & (B) Motion made and seconded to approve staff recommendation to grant the hardship abatement applications (A) and (B), motion passed unanimously. Meeting adjourned at 6:01 pm
