Authorizing the City Manager to Accept and Appropriate $86,700 from MaineHealth for the Let's Go Healthy
Eating and Active Living Grant for a One Year Period Beginning October 1, 2020.
This Resolve authorizes the City Manager to accept and appropriate $86,700 from MaineHealth to
promote healthy eating and active lifestyle for youth in Penobscot County. The Let's Go Program
works to implement policies and provide supports in schools, early childhood, healthcare and other
youth-focused settings to improve nutrition and increase physical activity. FY21 is year five of a
five-year Maine Prevention Services grant.

Authorizing the City Manager to Accept and Appropriate $86,700 from MaineHealth for the Let's Go Healthy
Eating and Active Living Grant for a One Year Period Beginning October 1, 2020.
Whereas; the city is currently receiving funds from MaineHealth to support the Let's Go Healthy Eating and
Active Living program, and
Whereas; this is the fifth year of a five year grant, and
Whereas; the city wants to continue to support this program through the use of the grant funds provided by
MaineHealth.
Be it Resolved by the City Council of the City of Bangor that, the City Manager is authorized to accept and
appropriate $86,700 in funding from MaineHealth for the Let's Go Healthy Eating Active Living Program.
