HomeMy WebLinkAbout2020-10-14 20-340 Order 10/14/202020-340 10/14/2020 20-340 Legal Order 049-084 Title, Order Directing the City Manager to Take Possession of the Property Located at 181 State Street This Order will direct the City Manager to take possession of the property located at 181 State Street, by virtue of the 2018 matured tax lien. The City of Bangor has recorded several tax and utility liens on the property at 181 State Street. Several of the liens have matured and the City has made several attempts to work the property owners to no avail. At this time, it is deemed to be in the City's best interest to take possession of the property. Finance Committee 10/05/2020 Recommend for passage New Business 10/14/202020-340 CITY OF BANGOR ORDER 10/14/2020 20-340 Sprague Directing the City Manager to Take Possession of the Property Located at 181 State Street Be it Ordered by the City Council of the City of Bangor that, WHEREAS, the City of Bangor has recorded tax and utility liens against the property located at 181 State Street, identified as Map/Lot 049-084, for unpaid real estate taxes and utility charges; and WHEREAS, liens have matured, and; WHEREAS, all attempts to receive payment in full have been unsuccessful. Be it Ordered by the City Council of the City of Bangor that, Catherine M. Conlow, City Manager, is hereby directed on behalf of the City of Bangor to take possession of the property located at 181 State Street and dispose of any abandoned personal property located thereon in accordance with State Law.
