HomeMy WebLinkAbout2020-10-14 20-347 Order 10/14/202020-347 10/14/2020 20-347 Police Order N/A Title, Order Authorizing the Execution of a Three-Year Contract with WatchGuard in the Amount of $364,049 for Body Worn Camera and Video Storage Project The attached Order would authorize the execution of a three-year contract in the amount of $364,049 with WatchGuard to provide equipment and storage related to body worn and in-car camera systems. The Police Support Services Unit examined camera programs from two industry leading manufacturers that, in part, included an exhaustive review and trial phase over a period of several months. The department currently utilizes WatchGaurd Video systems in our patrol cars. The manufacturer was selected for the body worn cameras as well, in part, for the following reasons: Integration with patrol car video/camera system; Integration with patrol car computer systems and emergency lighting; Evidence Management System and Cloud based data storage; Improved battery life and exchange; and System and Software familiarization.
