HomeMy WebLinkAbout2020-09-14 20-301 Resolve 09/14/202020-301 09/14/2020 20-301 City Clerk Resolve N/A Title, Resolve Ratifying an Application for an Election Grant from The Center for Technology and Civic Life This resolve will ratify an application for a grant from the Center for Tech and Civic Life (CTCL) to help to help fund a safe and healthy election. CTCL has received a large grant from Priscilla Chan and Mark Zuckerberg to support election administrators in 2020. The grant does not specify an amount and the allowable items covered under the grant are expenditures that help with the administration of the election. Such expenditures can include the following; early voting expenses, additional staff, hazard pay, poll location expenses, new or upgraded equipment, PPE and sanitizing/cleaning supplies, signage, voter outreach and communications on how to register to vote. Recommend for passage Consent 09/14/202020-301 CITY OF BANGOR RESOLVE 09/14/2020 20-301 Schaefer Ratifying an Application for an Election Grant from The Center for Technology and Civic Life WHEREAS, The Center for Technology and Civic Life grant application became available on September 8, 2020; and WHEREAS, grant applications are to be considered and awarded within two weeks of the grant opening. Be it Resolved by the City Council of the City of Bangor that, the actions taken by the City Staff to apply for an election grant from The Center for Technology and Civic Life is hereby ratified.
