HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BANGOR
MEETING OF JUNE11, 2020–7:00 P.M.

Vice Chair LeRoy called the meeting to order at 7:00P.M.

Update on Remote Participation:
Asst. City Solicitor requesting motion to allow for remote participation 1-MRSA 403-A
through Zoom and Facebook live from now until 30 days after the State of Emergency.
Commissioner Riordian motions to allow for remote participation via Zoom and Facebook
live until 30 days after the State of Emergency. Seconded by Vice Chair LeRoy. Roll call
vote; Krupke, yes; Banfield, yes; Riordian, yes; Chernesky, yes; LeRoy, yes. All in favor.
New Business:
1.Historical Preservation Grant
Planning Officer Krieg reporting that the City of Bangor has received Historical Preservation
Grant in amount of $26,000. City of Bangor matching at $12,000. Project will cover 2 fiscal
years, (2020-2021) and start this summer. Looking to update our historical survey, look at
other neighborhoods such as Broadway and West Broadway, as well as structures we’ve
not looked at yet. Will be a standing agenda item for updates.
Other Business:
2.Meeting Minutes –Meeting minutes of March 13, 2020 and May 14, 2020 were
approved, Commissioner Chernesky motioned to approve minutes, seconded by
Bangor Historic Preservation Commission

Commissioner Krupke. Roll call vote; Krupke, yes; Banfield, yes; Riordan, yes;
Chernesky, yes; Carter, yes, LeRoy, yes. All in favor.
3.Adjournment –Meeting adjourned at 7:14 p.m.
