Authorizing the Execution of an Agreement Between the City of Bangor and Northern Light Health for the
Construction and Maintenance of a Bus Shelter at the Eastern Maine Healthcare Mall on Union Street
This order would authorize the execution of an agreement between the City of Bangor and Northern
Light Health for the construction and maintenance of a bus shelter at the Eastern Maine Healthcare
Mall off Union Street. The previous bus shelter at this location was recently damaged by a vehicle
collision and the cost of the shelter replacement will be paid from insurance funds.
The location of the bus shelter is next to the parking lot near the southernmost entrance of the
Healthcare Mall, in a similar location as the previous shelter. Northern Light Health would be
responsible for maintaining the bus shelter. The agreement would not have an end date, but could
be terminated after 30 days notice by either party.

Construction and Maintenance of a Bus Shelter at the Eastern Maine Healthcare Mall on Union Street
Whereas, Northern Light Health would like a permanent bus shelter on Union Street in the corner parking lot
near the Main Entrance of the Eastern Maine Healthcare Mall;
Whereas, Northern Light Health has agreed to maintain the bus shelter for the use and benefit of the public at
large; and
Whereas, Northern Light Health will be responsible for the costs of maintaining the bus shelter;
Be it Ordered by the City Council of the City of Bangor that,
The City Manager is authorized to sign an agreement with Eastern Maine Healthcare Systems, d/b/a Northern
Light Health, for the construction and maintenance of a bus shelter at the Eastern Maine Healthcare Mall.
