Title, Resolve
Ratifying the Finance Director's Actions to Apply for and Accept $5,770 of Corona Virus Emergency
Supplemental Funding from Penobscot County
This Resolve will ratify the actions of the Finance Director and accept $5,770 of Corona Virus
Emergency Supplemental Funding (CESF) from Penobscot County. The US Department of Justice
allocated $58,008 in CESF funds to Penobscot County. These funds were allocated to State and
local governments to prevent, prepare for and respond to the corona virus. All qualifying entities
within the County were offered the opportunity to apply for a portion of the funds.
The City submitted an application for $15,863.80, the non-Bangor portion of third party costs
associated with the establishment of the off site testing site and preparing the Cross Insurance
Center to become an acute care surge site if necessary. These two projects were chosen for
submission as they serve a regional public health benefit.
The City recently received notice from Penobscot County, that the County's application to the US
Department of Justice includes $5,770 in funding to be allocated to the City of Bangor for work done
in connection with the above noted projects.
