Title, Resolve
Supporting the City Manager's Emergency Regulation Regarding Outdoor Vending, Seating, and Restaurant
Service
This Resolve indicates the support of the City Council for the Emergency Regulation recently issued
by the City Manager allowing outdoor area permits for retail stores and restaurants.
The City Manager recently issued an Emergency Regulation regarding outdoor vending, seating, and
restaurant service. This regulation allows stores and restaurants to use nearby outdoor areas to
serve their customers. Given the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, this allows stores and restaurants,
many of which may be reopening or expanding operations in the coming weeks, to reduce risks
associated with the pandemic while still serving customers.
This Resolve supports the Council goal of improving the economic vitality of the city and promoting
job growth and economic development.
