THAT
WHEREAS', by letter dated September 3, 1980, addressed to John W. Flynn, City
Manager, Commander Joseph G. Ornstein, Bangor Post No. 507, Jewish War
Veterans of the United States of America, offered to the City of Bangor the sum
Of $725 to be held In trust for purpose of promoting good citizenship at Bangor
High School, achlevingthe goals of the Bangor ROTC, and to perpetuate the
name of the Bahgor Post No. 507 of the Jewish War Veterans, all of which is
more fully set forth in a copy of said letter which is attached hereto and nude
a part hereof; and -
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Bangor desires to accept said gift
subject to said conditions,
NOW, THEREFORE, By the City Council of the City of Bangor, be it
RESOLVED, TMT the gift of Bangor Post No. 507, Jewish War Veterans of the
United States of America, described in said letter, is hereby accepted by the
Bangor City Council, Municipal Officers of the City of Bangor; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the City Manager is hereby authorized and
directed to take all necessary action for purposes of receiving the gift, and
causing it to be properly invested and administered.
