Except as hereinafter provided, n person, firs or corporation shall deal in secondhand articles, or conduct, operate or sponsor a sale of secondha" articles, in the Cityof Bangor vlthout having first obtained a Dealer i Secondhand Articles License. For purposes of this Ordinance, the tern "secondhand articles" shell be construed as items of used personal property having a individual groes sales or purchase prices in success of Twenty-five ($25.00) Dollars each, and shell include. but not be limited to, firearms ieaelry, diamonds, gold, silver and ocher precious metals, furs, fur coats, furniture dishes glassware, cel instruments, appliances, office and store fixtures and equipment. Every . firm o ration licensed u anted a permit under this Ordinance shall keep agdaily record of all secondhand articles byhimor it purchased or sold do the City, together with the date of purchase or sale., the name and address of the sellerrchae and a description of each article bought or olds 2.2 Records Piled with police Chief. Every licensee or permittee hereunder shall file duplicate Dotes of the r ocIs r iced by Section 2 to the office of Chief of Police 10 dclock In the forenoon of the Saturday following the dace of such record. THAT the provisions of Sec. 3, Article 5, Chapter IV of the Ordinances of the City of Bangor be emended, as follows: Sec. 3 exemptions. The provisions of this Ordinance shall not apply to such persons or businesses operating duly licensed automobile graveyards, junkyards, pawnshops, r.operatingee-dee}er --e}A-gethe-sale personal propeen}e c pursuant under a pernf[ for the sate es per inal property pursuant to Chapter VII, Article 15 es these Ordinances, o to casual sales of used motor vehicles. - THAT the provisions of Sec. 4, Article 5, Chapter IV of the Ordinances of the City of Bangor be repealed and replaced with the following: See. 4 Penalties. A violation of any provision of this Ordinance shall be a civil violation and a fine not exceeding Two Hundred ($200.00) Dollars may be imposed. Each day that s violation continues will be treated as separate offense. All finecollected hereunder shall inure to and be recovered by the City of Bangor.
