provided. haw the maintenance
and u of such a h in Sc and tanks this Ordinance. with the
standards set forth in Section 1 of this 0[dlrunc
Note: Section 4 of the current ordinance states, in effect, that no
permit is required for installations prior to July 1, 1964. However, the
current ordinance is limited in its application to oil burning furnaces.
For purposes of ease of enforcement, it is proposed that the provisions
be modified by changing the date to August 22, 1980. Assuming the Ordinance
is passed this evening, 1t will not become effective for 10 days by virtue
of our City Charter. Therefore, it will met be enforceable until August
22, 1980.
The City is not
aware of any present situations i which a oil burning
-
mtallation has been made without a permit. Therefore, is is felt that
is would make administration easier by having the same date for both
types of installations.
