Holmberg, :[.D. ✓ I J< - .... } y June 29, 2980 NEVORANDDM TO: City Manager FRDk3 William M. Shook, Jr. SUBJECT: Meeigation Pram Health and Hospital Advisory Committee John, this is to notify you that Dr. Robert Holmberg, local pediatrician, Own resigned m a member of the Health and Hospital Advisory Committee. His resignation is dated June Ila. and it is a term expiring in 2982. A copy of his letter is emlosed. Me *lot is to be filled by another phyaician. Dr. Holmberg's interest an a member, was with pediatric aspects of the Realth Department's program. Me found however, that the bulk of the Committee meeting agendas are taken up with City Hospital matters. Regrettably, this is true due to the State and Federal requirements that m very mob of what the Nursing Facility does, ham to be followed by a Scab of paperwork to and from its Advisory group. I Moen old Dr. Holmberg in the pest. that I fully share his frustrations with this problem. Usually, only one or two at moat, of the five to six item agendas Save to do with the Health Department. at the expense of cueing the matings to last lager than they On now, which averages two hours or more. Therefore, we try to spread the Health Department matters over a series of several meetings or preened coke decade by mail or phone. We value having a pediatrician on the Committee Men we oma, and hope another one applies, but admittedly, geriatric medicine dome Out hold their interest. We have tried and will continue to try, the concept of holding special additional meetings exclusively for Health Department matters and, on occasion, thin has worked but attendance use been a problem. Somewhere along the line. I hope that thiscon be remedied. I am happy that Dr. Holmberg hem agreed to meet infomelly with the public Health Nursea on Matters of concern to them. Places let me know if you base any questions. W.M.S. W.M.S./ayc cc: City Clerk eminences
