To the Municipal Officers
Reference is made to City Council Order No. 81-10 passed
November 12, 19801 directing the City Engineer to determine
the coat of extending the sanitary sewer on Hogan Road an an
easterly direction to Mount Hope Avenue. Surveys, Plans and
Cost Estimates have been completed, which would provide for
the following: -
Me proposed extension would consist of the installation
of 820 feet of 8 inch pipe and 3 manholes, extending southerly
from the terminus of the existing sewer near Village Subaru,
with the new terminus being on the southeasterly side of the
Mount Hope Avenue - Hogan Road intersection, near the MOT
Division Office.
The total estimated coat of the sewer is $179230.00. Of
this amount, the City would pay 50%, and the remaining $8,615.00
would be assessed against the properties benefitted, as follows:
Property Owner Frontage Est. Assessment In Favor Opposed
EAST SIDE
QV Realty 198' $ 842.00 x
Dyer Interests 300' 19275.00 x
Mt. Hope Avenue
right-of-way 102' 434.00 Non -assessable
State of Maine

Total: $8,615.00
The request for the sewer extension was originally petitioned
by the Maine Department of Transportation, to permit them to
discontinue an existing pump station. It is recommended that
-1-
the sewer he extended, since it is in conformance with our
Comprehensive Plan for sanitary sewerage facilities in this
area.
Plans showing the proposed extension are on file in the
office of the City Engineer.
Respectfully submitted,
