HomeMy WebLinkAbout1981-05-11 81-165 ORDER81-165 Introduced by COLLwtlor Soucy, My 11, 1961 CITY OF BANGOR (TITLE) @rbtr, Dnrecting C tg Engineer ao,.,Ley Ont a Commercial _ Roadway Extending_Northeast Yrom Hogan Road By tAs City Cou+wvd of City of Bangor: ORDERED, THAT WHEREAS, various owners of property located east of Hogan Road and south of Interstate Highway I-95 have petitioned for the construction of a commercial roadway to serve their property, and have agreed to pay their proportionate share of the cast, including sanitary sewer, and WHEREAS, construction Plans have been substantially completed for said roadway, - NOW, THEREFORE, be it ORDERED, That the City Engineer, acting for and on behalf of the Municipal Officers according to law, be and hereby is directed to lay out by metes and bounds and establish a right- of-way for said roadway,the centerline of which is described as follows: Beginning at a point on the easterly right-of-way line of Hogan Road at the southerly line of land owned by Springer Realty, being also the northerly line of an existing 20 -foot wide right- of-way; thence in an easterly direction at right angles to said Hogan Road right-of-way line for a distance of 434.80 feet to a point; thence in a northerly direction at right angles to the last described line on a line parallel to the right-of-way line of Hogan Road for a distance of 1,010 feet, more or less, to the southerly line of property owned by John J. Davis. Said right- of-way is to be laid out to a width of 60 feet along the first tangent and 70 feet along the second tangent, measured from the above described centerline; and be it further ORDERED, That the City Engineer proceed to give notice of such intention of said Municipal Officers according to law by posting such notices for seven ('7) days in two (2) public places in the City of Bangor and in the vicinity of the proposed roadway; and the City Engineer is further ORDERED, To make a written return of said proceedings containing the bounds and admeasurements of said right-of-way add the damages allowed to any person or persons as a result -1- of said laying out, all in accordance with the laws of the State of Maine, and be it further ORDERED, That consideration be given to adding said right-of-way to the Official City Map in accordance with the provisions of Chapter II, Article 12, Sec. 6 of the Laws and Ordinances of the City of Bangor. -2- Bangor, the poster of Moieo—the Gateway to Maim''s North Woods and Seashore R&I May 19, 1981 TO: The Honorable City Council FROM: The Planning Board SUBJECT: Council Order 81-165 Amendment to Official Map Access to Hogan Road M.,, SAINGOR, MAINE OMJ JOHN ..I2n„s4,a3., ..,.Av o,«", Vit of Pints", Main DATE: May 19, 1981 TO: The Honorable City Council FROM: The Planning Board SUBJECT: Council Order 81-165 Amendment to Official Map Access to Hogan Road Please be advised that the Planning Board at its regularly scheduled meeting on May 18, 1981, held a public hearing on the above amendment request. After careful consideration of the nature of the amendment, and the addition of this proposed access to Hogan Road, the Hoard voted five in favor and none opposed to reconsaend approval of the above request.
