Peavey of Bangor, requesting the extension of Forest Avenue for a distance of approximately 200 feet north from it's present terminus. The extension is required to serve a small Subdivision, the Plan of which has previously been approved by the Planning Board. The proposed extension would consist of a 20 -foot wide travel way, to conform to the width of the existing road, consisting of a 3 inch bituminous concrete surface on a 6 inch gravel base and a 12 inch gravel subbase. The total estimated coat of the roadway extension is $5 200.00. In accordance with Chapter XII, Article 12, Sec. 1.6.1 of the Laws and Ordinances of the City of Bangor, the City would pay $5.25 per foot of road, or $1,209.50, and the Developer would be required to pay the estimated balance of approximately $4,000.00. The Petitioner has indicated that he is in favor of the project, and it is recommended that the. roadway extension be completed as soon as possible.
