THAT the zoning boundary lines as established by the Zoning Nap of
the City of Bangor dated September 23, 1974, as amended, be hereby
further amended as follows:
By changing part of a parcel of land located at 996 State Street (Tax
May, No. R-71, Part of Parcel No. 31) from Residential 1 Zone and Park
and Open Space Zone to Civic and Institutional Zone. Said parcel
containing approximately 1.5 acres and being more particularly
indicated on the map attached hereto and made a part hereof.

Action for a zoning change will be initiated with the Bandar City Council And
referred to the Bangor Planning Board. Statutes require a Public Hearing before the
Planning Board, after a public advertising (at least 10 days prior to such public
hearing), for all changes to the coning ordinance of the City of Bangor. The r
endation of the Planning Board is then returned to the Bangor City Council for
final action.

Please be advised that the Planning Board at its regular
meeting of June 21, 1982, held a public hearing on the above
zoning amendment.
After careful deliberation of the present use of the area
and the present use of the parcel in question, the Board voted
five in favor and none opposed to recommend rezoning of the
parcel from Park and Open Space and Residential 1 to Civic and
Institutional excluding that area along the Mt. Hope Brook which
presently lies within the 100 Year Flood Plain.
