CITY OF BANGOR, MAINE
Engineering Department
February 12, 1982
To the Municipal Officers:
Reference is made to City Council Order No. 81-167 passed
May 27, 1981, authorizing the extension of the sanitary sewer
on Hogan Road in a southerly direction from its present terminus
to the intersection of Mount Hope Avenue? as requested under a
petition previously received from the Maine Department of Trans-
portation. All work has been completed, as follows:
The project consisted of the installation of 820 feet of
8 inch pipe and,3 manholes, terminating in the vicinity of the
existing pump station serving the Maine Department of Transpor-
tationDivisionOffice Building at the intersection of Hogan Road
and Mount Hope Avenue..
The actual cost of the sewer installation was $15,011.95,
which compares favorably to the original estimate of $17,230.00.
Of this amount, the City would pay fifty percent, and the remain-
ing $7,505.98 would be assessed against the properties benefitted,
