Amending Chapter XI - Mobilehbme Ordinance
The Bangor Planning Board at its regular meeting of. February 1,
1982 reviewed the pr000aed amendments to the I bilehome Ordinance
contained in C.O. No. 82-57. .The .Board dealt with the two sections
(1.4 and 1.7.2) as two separate issues. After considerable discussion
surrounding the impact of the fairly high. density development of
mobilehome parka (seven units per are) the Board voted to recommend
that the Council not adopt the proposed amendment to Section 1.4
which changes the pp rimeter setback from fifty feet to thirty feet
by a vote of 3 to 2.
After considerable discussion relating to the safety aspects of
spacing of structures in mobilehome parks the Board voted unanimously
to recommend that the City Council adopt the amendment to Section 1.7.2
(which reduces the side yard requirements for mobilehomea from ten feet
to six feet) with a suggested amendment that would make all side Yard
requirements for mobilehomes and other structures in mobilehome parks
five feet ( if this amendment passed as proposed, mobilehomea would be
required to be located not less than six feet from the lot.line and
other structures would be required to be located not less than four
feet). The vote to recommend the universal five foot sideyard require-
ment as an amendment to the motion toe
recommend amendment to
