HomeMy WebLinkAbout2020-03-23 20-107 Order 03/23/202020-107 03/23/2020 20-107 Community & Economic Development Order N/A Title, Order Authorizing Execution of a Contract with ReVision Energy in the Amount of $13,357 for the Installation of an Electric Vehicle Charging Station for The Garage at Pickering Square This Order authorizes the City Manager to execute a contract with ReVision Energy for the installation of an electric vehicle charging station at The Garage at Pickering Square. The City applied for and received notification of award for funds to purchase and install one dual port electric vehicle charger at The Garage at Pickering Square. This charger can service two vehicles at a time. The estimated project cost is $13,357, of which the awarded Efficiency Maine grant covers $5,000. A Climate to Thrive, a Maine non-profit working to increase electric vehicle infrastructure in communities, will contribute the balance ($8,357). The City's contribution is in-kind electrical work, permitting, and the cost of electricity, which has already been completed. The machine will be installed by ReVision Energy. A Climate to Thrive has also asked that the City enter into five-year agreements for network and warranty services with certain entities in return for their contribution. The Cityy will also contribute through in-kind electrical work, permitting, and the cost of electricity. This order meets the Council goal of developing sustainable practices towards resource utilization and protection. Recommend for passage As this agreement was not reviewed and approved by a Council Committee, the item comes forward for Council action. Consent 03/23/202020-107 CITY OF BANGOR ORDER 03/23/2020 20-107 Nichols Authorizing Execution of a Contract with ReVision Energy in the Amount of $13,357 for the Installation of an Electric Vehicle Charging Station for The Garage at Pickering Square Be it Ordered by the City Council of the City of Bangor that, The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute a contract with ReVision Energy and related documents, such as network and warranty services agreements, for the installation of an electric vehicle charging station at The Garage at Pickering Square. Said documents shall be in a form as approved by the City Solicitor or Assistant City Solicitor.
