Authorizing the City Manager to Execute a Purchase and Sale Agreement with Chris Pepin for Property
Located at 171 Garland Street in the Amount of $2,500
This Order would authorize the sale of 171 Garland Street to Chris Pepin in the amount of $2,500.
The property was purchased by the City in 2015, due to longtime blight to the neighborhood (CO
15-018). Currently the property is a non-buildable lot.
Chris Pepin is purchasing the abutting multi-family property located at 101 Palm Street and is
expecting to invest $100,000 into the abutting property. Mr. Pepin has submitted an offer of $2,500
for the purchase of City owned vacant lot for much needed parking and lawn space.

Authorizing the City Manager to Execute a Purchase and Sale Agreement with Chris Pepin for Property
Located at 171 Garland Street in the Amount of $2,500
WHEREAS, the City owns the vacant property located at 171 Garland Street; and
WHEREAS, the City is seeking to dispose of nonbuildable lots; and
WHEREAS, the Chris Pepin offered $2,500 to the City for the property:
BE IT ORDERED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BANGOR, THAT
The City Manager is hereby authorized, on behalf of the City of Bangor, to execute those documents
necessary for the transfer of the property located at 171 Garland Street (Map and Lot 054-046) to Chris Pepin
in the amount of $2,500. The documents shall be final form as approved by the City Solicitor's Office.
