HomeMy WebLinkAbout2019-10-16 19-398 Order 10/16/201919-398 10/16/2019 19-398 Finance Order 030-027 Title, Order Authorizing the City Manager to Execute a Disposition and Development Agreement with Gary and Melanie Frost for a Single Family Home Located at 28 Fremont Street for $4,000 This Order would authorize the city manager to execute a disposition and development agreement with Gary and Melanie Frost for redevelopment of property located at 28 Fremont Street. The property was acquired in 2019 by the City through matured tax liens (CO 19-288). The city issued an RFP for disposition and development and only received one bid. The Agreement will include the following terms: the purchase price will be $4,000; the buyers will spend a minimum of $50,000 on the rehabilitation of the single family home; obtain a building permit on or before December 1, 2019; and complete the project and obtain a certificate of occupancy within one year of obtaining a building permit; and the property shall remain taxable in perpetuity. Finance Committee 09/16/2019 Recommend for passage 50 Consent 10/16/201919-398 CITY OF BANGOR ORDER 10/16/2019 19-398 Weston Authorizing the City Manager to Execute a Disposition and Development Agreement with Gary and Melanie Frost for a Single Family Home Located at 28 Fremont Street for $4,000 WHEREAS, the City owns the property located at 28 Fremont Street through through matured tax liens ; and WHEREAS, the City is seeking to dispose of properties and have them rehabilitation for housing; and WHEREAS, the property was offered for RFP; and WHEREAS, a bid to purchase and develop the property was received from Gary and Melanie Frost in the amount of $4,000: BE IT ORDERED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BANGOR, THAT The City Manager is hereby authorized, on behalf of the City of Bangor, to execute those documents necessary for the transfer and development agreement of the single family house located at 28 Fremont Street (Map and Lot 030-027) to Gary and Melanie Frost. The agreement shall include the following terms and conditions: the purchase price of the property shall be $4,000; the buyer shall invest not less than on the rehabilitation of a single family home; the buyer shall obtain a building permit on or before December 1, 2019; the buyer shall complete the project and obtain a certificate of occupancy within one year of obtaining said building permit; and the property shall remain taxable in perpetuity.
