HomeMy WebLinkAbout2019-10-16 19-399 Order 10/16/201919-399 10/16/2019 19-399 Finance Order 048-062 Title, Order Authorizing the City Manager to Execute a Disposition and Development Agreement with Mitchell Jameson for a Two-Unit Family Home Located at 118 Grove Street This Order would authorize the sale of city owned property located at 118 Grove Street to Mitchell Jameson. The property was acquired by the City through matured tax and utility liens on March 12, 2018 (CO 18-139). The city issued an RFP for redevelopment of the property and received four offers for the property. The Agreement will include the following terms and conditions: the purchase price shall be $12,000; the buyer shall invest no less than $22,000 in the rehabilitation of the multifamily home; the buyer shall obtain a a building permit on or before December 1, 2019; the buyer shall complete the project and obtain a certificate of occupancy within one year of obtaining the building permit; and the property shall remain taxable in perpetuity. Finance Committee 09/16/2019 Recommend for passage Consent 10/16/201919-399 CITY OF BANGOR ORDER 10/16/2019 19-399 Supica Authorizing the City Manager to Execute a Disposition and Development Agreement with Mitchell Jameson for a Two-Unit Family Home Located at 118 Grove Street WHEREAS, the City owns the properties located at 118 Grove Street through matured tax and utility liens; and WHEREAS, the City is seeking to dispose of the properties and have them rehabilitated for housing; and WHEREAS, the properties were offered for RFP; and WHEREAS, a bid to purchase and develop the property was received from Mitchell Jameson, in the amount of $12,000: BE IT ORDERED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BANGOR, THAT The City Manager is hereby authorized, on behalf of the City of Bangor, to execute those documents necessary for the transfer and development agreement of a building and property located at 118 Grove Street (Map and Lot 048-062) to Mitchell Jameson. The Agreement shall include the following terms and conditions: the purchase price shall be $12,000; the buyer shall invest not less than $22,000 on the rehabilitation of the multifamily home; the buyer shall obtain a building permit on or before December 1, 2019; the buyer shall complete the project and obtain a certificate of occupancy within one year of obtaining said building permit; and the property shall remain taxable in perpetuity.
