This order authorizes the City Manager to apply for a grant up to $1500 to the Maine Communities Grant program for video marketing content at Bangor International Airport (BGR). The purpose of the grant would be to offset costs to create new video content, which would be used as part of the BGR's website redesign. In addition to being used on the website, video content also would be used in marketing campaigns and as part of our newly established Social Media Playbook. Applications are due Nov. 8, 2019 with awards being announced the first week in December. Airport Committee 10/07/2019 Recommend for passage 50 Staff recommends approval. WHEREAS, the City of Bangor, Maine is the owner of an airport located in Bangor, County of Penobscot, State of Maine, commonly known as Bangor International Airport (BGR); and WHEREAS, BGR would like to submit an application for a grant up to $1500 through the Maine Communities Grant program; and WHEREAS, The purpose of the grant is to fund a portion of the cost for creating new video content to be used as part of the airport's website redesign.
