THAT the provisions of Chapter IIID Article 6, Subsection 10.4 be amended and redesignated as Subsection 10.5, as follows: 10.5 Any person accused of aviolation of any portion of this Article other than those violations specified in subsections 10.1, 10.2 and, 10.3, and 10.4 above may voluntarily waive his or her right to appear and defend before any Court or judicial tribunal the charge made against him r her for such .illegal parking by paying to the municipality the sum of five dollars ($5.00) within €€ve th'xt ((30) days of the time such alleged offense was committed. THAT the provisions of Chapter III, Article 6, Subsection 10.5 be amended and redesignated as Subsection 10.6, as follows: 10.6 Members of the Police Department are hereby authorized to refrain from instituting prosecution for the alleged offense for a period of €€ve-t5} th'rt (30) days from the time such alleged offense was comm tte . THAT the provisions of Chapter III, Article 6, Subsections 6.4 and 6.5 be repealed. Statement of Fact: The purpose of this Ordinance is to reduce the Iver fee for parking violations in off-street permit parking areas from $5 to $3 a recently recommended by the Down Town Parking Advisory Committee.
